Where AveFrame Stands: Five Tools In
We opened AveFrame in February with a single belief: build small tools that solve one problem well, then get out of the way.
It is now June. Five of those tools are live. That felt like a good moment to stop, look back, and say plainly where things stand.
The through-line
The five products do very different things. A D&D character manager and an email inbox are not obviously related. But they share something that matters more than their category.
Each one is focused. Each one respects your data. Each one is built to be fast and to stay that way. And each one is priced honestly — no dark patterns, no bait-and-switch, no “free” that costs you later.
That is not a coincidence. It is the part we think about before any of the rest.
Where each one stands
- Utiliify — 50+ everyday utilities in one fast, offline workspace. Still completely free, still no tracking.
- ICE5e — a full D&D 5e character sheet manager, free with no premium tiers, rivaling tools that charge for the same features.
- MailChrono — a unified inbox across Gmail and Microsoft 365, read-only, with zero email stored on our servers.
- NotedCLI — a task manager built around writing first. Type freely, let the structure emerge.
- Remote Rituals — a party game for remote teams that runs over screen share and produces a recap you can keep.
Five tools, each narrow on purpose.
What four months taught us
A few things have become clearer since we started.
Small tools ship fast. A focused product can go from frustration to launch in weeks, not quarters. That is not a shortcut — it is the natural result of refusing to build the parts that do not matter.
Independence is underrated. Each product stands alone, so a problem in one never spreads to another. There is no giant platform to break, and the blast radius of any change is the size of a single tool.
And in a narrow tool, details carry more weight. Speed matters. Clarity matters. The exact feel of a response matters. There is nowhere for rough edges to hide, which is exactly why we like building this way.
What’s next
We are not trying to ship a tool a month forever. The point was never volume.
The plan from here is to deepen what is already live — sharpen the core loop in each product, fix the rough edges that real usage reveals, and protect the speed and simplicity that made them worth building in the first place. When a new frustration shows up that we cannot stop thinking about, we will build something new. Not before.
